Don’t turn down plans with friends that were made a month ago just because you want to get in a run.
Don’t skip out on froyo with your family because you’re afraid it’ll be too many calories.
Don’t be afraid to step outside, to go to the beach, to go on a run, because your body isn’t “ready”.
Don’t analyze the entire order of appetizers you got to split with your best friends.
Don’t be afraid to go on vacation because it will mess with your schedule.
Don’t put off homework to spend three hours in the gym.
Don’t avoid social gathering because God forbid there’s food there.
Don’t pass up a homemade meal that looks great just to fit your meal plan.
(Don’t become obsessive. Don’t become compulsive. Don’t let a disorder ruin you again.
Don’t let a monster come back in a new, welcoming, hidden way.)
Remember to live your life. You weren’t put on this earth just to try to be thin or fit. You’re here to live. Don’t miss out just to work out.
(I forget that I have OCD. I forget that I get controlling over things. I’m not letting this take over my life. I’m making changes to take my life back, not hand it over to a monster.)
Enjoy life. Enjoy your self. Enjoy living.
